Dried Sprats Chilli Pieces Tempered Recipe

Ingredients :
100g dried headless sprats
50g sliced onion
30g chilli pieces
4tbsp oil
1/2tsp turmeric powder
2tbsp sugar
5 curry lesves
1tbsp chopped garlic
salt to taste

Directions :
heat oil in a pan and add sprats and garlic fry it about 5 minutes (under low fire). next add other all ingredients and cook onother 5 minutes. serve with rice.

Cabbage Curry Recipe (Gowa maluwa)

Ingredients :
250g Sliced Cabbage
20g sliced onion
2 chopped green chilli
2cups coconut milk
1/2tsp turmeric powder
1/2tsp funugreek seeds
5 curry leaves
1/2tsp curry powder
1/2tsp chilli powder
salt to taste

Directions :
Mix all ingredients and cook about 15 minutes under low fire, stir between cooking. serve with rice or bread

Coconut Mallum Recipe (Pol Mallum)

Ingrediants :
2cups shredded coconut
2tsp ground maldive fish
20g sliced onion
2 chopped green chilli
30g sliced tomato
1/4tsp chilli powder
1/2tsp turmeric powder
5 curry leaves
i inch rampe
1/2cup water
1/2tsp lime juice


Directions
mix together coconut, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and and stir well. then heat a pan and add maldive fish, onion, green chilli, curry leaves, tomato, rampe with water and boil it about 5 minutes then add coconut mixture and cook another 5 minutes with stiring. then remove from fire and add lime juice.

Mint Sambol Recipe (Minchi Sambola)

Ingredients :
100g mint leaves
2 clove garlic
3 green chilli
3tbsp shredded coconut
1/2tsp lime juice
salt to taste


Directions  :
add mint leaves, garlic, green chilli, coconut and salt into a food processor and chop well it until becomes a smooth paste. then put it in a bawl and mix lime juice.

Mustard Chicken Curry Recipe

Ingredients :
500g chicken (cut to small pieces)
2tbsp mustard paste
2tsp chopped garlic
50g chopped onion
50g chopped tomato
2 chopped green chilli
2tbsp soya sauce
2tbsp vinegar
1 1/2tsp pepper powder
4tbsp oil
1/2tsp turmeric powder
1inch cinnamon
6 curry leaves
1/2tsp lime juice
2tbsp sugar
1inch rampe
salt to taste


Directions :
heat oil and add garlic and onion, fry it about 2 minutes. next add tomato, green chilli, cinnamon, curry leaves, rampe, soya sauce, salt, turmeric powder, and peeper powder, mix it well and add chicken. then cook it about 3 minutes. next add vinegar, mustard paste, and sugar. then cook it another 10 minutes.
serve with rice or noodles.

Chicken Black Pepper Curry Recipe

Ingredients :
500g chicken breast
30g sliced banana peppers
20g chopped onion
40g sliced onion
20g chopped garlic
30g sliced tomato
20g chopped tomato
1 1/2tsp chopped garlic
1/2tsp chopped ginger
1inch cinnamon
5 curry leaves
3 pieces rampe
1/2tsp turmeric powder
3tsp slightly crushed black pepper
1/2tsp lime juice
10tbsp oil
salt to taste


Directions :
cut chicken into small pieces and put in a larg glass bawl and add 1/2tsp lime juice, 1tsp pepper,  1/4tsp  turmeric powder, and 1tsp salt. mix it well and keep about 10 minutes. heat oil in a pan and and add chopped onion, chopped garlic, chopped ginger, cinnamon, curry leaves, and rampe, then fry it about 5 minutes under low fire. next add add chicken and mix well. let cook it about 15 minutes, next add salt, 1/4tsp turmeric powder,  banana peppers, sliced onion, sliced tomato, and pepper. mix well  and cook another 5 minutes.

Drumstick curry recipe (Murunga Maluwa)

Ingredients :
350g drumsticks (slightly scrape skin)
2cups coconut milk
30g sliced onion
2 sliced green chilli
1tsp fenugreek seeds
1tsp mustard seeds
8 curry leaves
2tbsp chopped garlic
1/2tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2tsp chilli powder
1tsp curry powder
salt to taste
3tbsp oil


Directions :
cut drumticks into 3 inch pieces. then heat oil and add musturd seeds, arfter fry it add garlic and onion, fry it about 2 minutes then add green chilli, chilli powder, curry powder and fenugreek seeds then mix it well. next add other all ingredients and cook about  15 minutes under low fire. stir between cook.

Ingredients :
14 oz can tomato sauce
1cup sugar
2tsp crushed garlic
1/2tsp crushed ginger
2tsp chilli powder
4tsp vinegar
salt to taste

Prawns Curry

Ingredients :
250g prawns
30g sliced onion
1 1/4tsp curry powder
1 1/2tsp chilli powder
1/4tsp turmeric powder
2 chopped green chilli
2 1/2tsp coconut milk
3tsp chopped garlic
1/2tsp lime juice
1inch cinnamon
7tbsp oil
10 curry leaves
salt to taste


Directions :
remove head of prawns and wash well. next heat oil in a pan and add onion and garlic, fry it about 2 minutes and add cinnamon, curry leaves, curry powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, lime juice and prawns. then mix it and fry about minutes under low fire. next add green chilli coconut milk and salt. cook it about 10 minutes. stir between cook, you can serve it with rice, bread, or noodles.

Ambarella Curry Recipe

Ingredients :
6 ambarella
30g chopped onion
1/2tsp chopped garlic
2 chopped green chili
1/4tsp mustard seeds
1 piece cinnamon
6 curry leaves
1tsp chilli powder
1tsp curry powder
1/4tsp turmeric powder
2tbsp oil
1/2 1cup thick coconut milk
2tbsp sugar
3cups water
salt to taste


Directions :
first wash and cut ambarella into 2 pieces. now boil it with 3 water cups. next remove ambarella skin. next heat oil in a another pan and add mustard seeds, after fry it add garlic with onion, fry it to golden brown color. then add cinnamon, curry leaves, chilli powder, curry powder, turmeric powder and mix well. then add boiled ambarella and sugar. now mix well and add coconut milk, cook it between stir about 8 minutes under low fire.
you can serve it with rice or bread.

How to Make Red Onion Curry (Rathulunu Maluwa)

Ingredients :
250g red onions
1 1/2cups coconut milk
5 curry leaves
2tsp chopped garlic
1tsp curry powder
1tsp chilli powder
1/4tsp turmeric powder
1/2tsp fenugreek seeds
2 chopped green chilli
20g chopped tomato
2tbsp oil
salt to taste


Directions :
remove red onion's skin and wash well. then heat oil and add garlic and fry it to golden brown color, then add
onion and fry it about 3 minutes (stir between frying) next add curry powder, chilli powder, fenugreek seeds, tomato, turmeric powder, green chilli and curry leaves. then mix it well. next add coconut milk and cook about
10 minutes (stir between cooking).

Kos Ata Kalupol (Jack seeds black coconut curry)

Ingredients :
50 Jack seeds
2tbsp shredded coconut
1tbsp wight rice
3cups coconut milk
1tsp curry powder
1tsp chilli powder
1/2tsp pepper powder
10 chopped red onion
3tsp chopped garlic
1/2tsp funugreek seeds
1/2tsp turmeric powder
1inch cinnamon
10 curry leaves
3tsp oil
salt to taste

Directions :
cut jack seeds into 2 pieces and boil it then drain water(do not remove skin). fry shredded coconut and wight rice for golden brown color. next heat oil and add garlic and red onion, fry it to golden brown color, next add other all ingredients and cook about 10 minutes under low fire. you can serve this curry with rice.

Kakiri Curry

Ingredients :
500g kakiri
3cup coconut milk
50g sliced onion
2 chopped green chilli
1/4tsp funugreek seeds
1 1/2tsp chilli powder
1 1/2tsp curry powder
1/4tsp turmeric powder
1inch cinnamon
3tsp chopped ginger garlic
10 curry leaves
1tsp mustard seeds
2pieces goraka
3tsp oil
salt to taste


Directions :
cut kakiry as cucumber pieces. heat oil and add mustard seeds after frying it add ginger garlic and onion fry it to golden brown color. next add other all ingredients and mix well. then cover it and cook about 45 minutes under low fire. (stir betwen cook)

Ingredients :
2 eggs
1tsp chopped onion
1tsp chopped tomato
1/8tsp chilli powder
1/8tsp pepper powder
1 chopped green chilli
2tbsp whole milk

mix together eggs, milk, salt and beat it well. next add onion, tomato, chilli powder, pepper powder, green chilli and mix well. then heat oil in a omelet pan and add the omelet mixture and cook about 2 minutes under low fire.

1 bunch of Kathurumurunga leaves

1/2 shredded coconut
1/2 lime juice

Vegetable Chop Suey (Chopsi)

Ingredients :
1 diced carrot
1 chopped onion
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
4tbsp bean sprots
2tbsp soya sauce
1/2cup optional cashews
30g diced cabbage
30g diced beans
30g diced mushroom
1tbsp ginger garlic paste
1tbsp chilli oil
1/2cup vegetable stock
2tbsp sugar
1tsp pepper
salt to taste


Directions :
blanch the vegetable for about 2 minutes and keep a side. next head oil in a pan and add ginger garlic paste and onion, fry it to golden brown color. next add all vegetables and saute it and soya sauce, salt and pepper and mix well. then add vegitable stock, sugar and cashews. cook another 2 minutes and serve immediately with rice or noodles.

Ingredients :
250g potato
50g chopped tomato
20g chopped onion
